Each year the Cayman branch of the BPW (Business and Professional Women's club) hosts a Bingo night to raise funds for their work in economically empowering women by helping them enter and re-enter the workforce, start up and advance their business or profession, and protecting their rights. As with any female focused event, be it on the water at Ride Like a Girl or at a business lunch or conference like Power of the Purse, it's always inspiring and fun to get all the girls together for a good cause!
Bingo & Mingle was no different and as the games kicked off we listened attentively, checking off numbers hoping to win one of the amazing prizes up for grabs in each round.
In between rounds we gossiped, drank wine and took part in the raffle - $5 bought you a length of tickets as long as your arm…or your friends arm if that didn't present good value.
And just as faith in our luck started to dwindle, our table triumphed with a raffle prize! With renewed enthusiasm we re-focused and got back to the Bingo….
As the night drew to a close, it became clear that we were most likely going home without the grand prize. We may be unlucky when it comes to Bingo, but when it comes to good friends, I think I'm the luckiest in the world.
Thanks to Jess and her team for hosting another fabulous night.
Looking forward to next year already!
