It’s Christmas week, New Year’s Eve is on the horizon and party season is in full swing. But in the midst of holiday cheer, it’s time to look ahead to a clean and organized 2015. This year I got lost under the clutter and chaos that came with organizing an international sporting event, my wedding, overseas trips, work and everything in between that comes with everyday life. The fact that this blog has been in semi-retirement for 6 months has caused me a lot of anxiety – how do I catch up? How do I start it back up again? What do I even want to blog about? But most importantly, I realized, by falling behind and not knowing where to start again, I’d lost a beloved release.
At my wedding earlier this year my Dad read a school report I wrote about myself when I was 7. I wrote “I like doing stories”. So as the sun sets on 2014, I’m going to take inspiration from my 7 year old self.
Over the next 12 days that lie between now and the end of the year, I will be filling you in on what I’ve been up to over the last 6 months, and in the New Year I’m going to continue telling stories about my life and the things I love – sports, travel, photography, art and cooking.
So if you’re ready, get comfy. It’s story time.
