Discovering my home

I've lived in England for all 24 of my 26 years on this earth  (one year in France and a year in Australia) and until last summer, I'm quite embarassed to admit, I'd never really ventured too far past greater London. The odd trip to the blackpool pleasure beach to visit old relatives, geography field trips to Doset and the mines in Wales and a uni ski weekend in Edinburgh. Other than that, I was newby in the UK tourism arena. And now I have to say that to some extent, I was missing out! Since we've been kiting I've seen some awesome British beaches, eaten at some yummy British pubs and met some lovely British people. And in the Lake District last weekend there was much of the same. It's not often that I praise the UK, so make the most of it. Here's some pics:
